Nuevo punto de información ciudadana sobre la Zona de Bajas Emisiones en Vitoria-Gasteiz

This new point, located at Pintorería 45, will offer personalized attention to address doubts and accompany the citizens in the implementation process of the Low Emission Zone.

The City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz is opening a new citizen information point dedicated to the Low Emission Zone, ZBE. It will be located at Pintorería 45, where Ensanche 21 has the neighborhood office for the Medieval Quarter. With this new service, the City Council aims to strengthen its commitment to a transparent and participatory process, offering support to the citizens in this significant change for mobility in our city.

The office will be staffed by personnel specifically trained to address all questions related to the ZBE. Its hours of operation will be Monday to Friday, from 16:00 to 19:00, and it will remain open until the end of September.

«Since we started working on the ZBE ordinance, we said it should be a transparent process, with a lot of information and proximity . We know that all changes raise doubts, questions, uncertainty… and as a City Council, we have the responsibility to activate all necessary mechanisms to provide clear and accessible information. This office is born precisely with that spirit: to be by the side of the citizens and address their concerns,» stated the deputy mayor and councilor Beatriz Artolazabal.

The Low Emission Zone of Vitoria-Gasteiz, which will come into effect on September 15, will bring a transformation in the city’s mobility model, aiming to improve air quality, reduce polluting emissions, and move towards a healthier and more livable environment. Over the next few weeks, as explained by Artolazabal, and more intensively in September, «the deployment of a comprehensive communication plan designed to reach the entire population will be intensified, using all available channels: information in civic centers, social media, traditional media, posters, and, as a central point, this personalized attention office.»

In addition to the Pintorería space, personnel from all civic centers will also provide general information about the ZBE. However, for more specific or technical matters, it is recommended to go directly to the office that will open tomorrow, Thursday, May 15.
