Crean ARDOKA para reconocer las mejores cartas de vinos de Euskadi

The Department of Food, Rural Development, Agriculture, and Fisheries of the Basque Government and the HAZI Foundation, focused on the development of the primary, industrial, and service sectors, presented ARDOKA this Monday at the Abastos Market in Vitoria-Gasteiz. This competition will reward the restaurants in Euskadi that stand out for the quality of their wine lists and their commitment to excellence in enogastronomy.

The Minister of Food, Rural Development, Agriculture, and Fisheries of the Basque Government, Amaia Barredo, stated that ARDOKA «is not just a competition,» but «a statement of intentions.» In this presentation, she was accompanied by the Director of Sectoral Promotion at HAZI, Iosu Garaialde, the WSET-certified sommelier, Teresa Guilarte, the journalist specialized in the world of wine, Yolanda Ortiz de Arri, and the coordinator of Basque Wine, Ainhoa Gorostidi.

It was also highlighted that the competition is part of a comprehensive strategy to support the wine sector. Its objective is to promote the culture of wine and local beverages, with special attention to Designations of Origin.

The goal is also to value the work of restaurants that take care of their wine proposals and integrate wine as an essential part of their gastronomic experience, recognizing excellence as a way to inspire other establishments, as well as to connect wineries and hospitality.
