Félix Lascaray, CEO and spokesperson for the LEA company in Vitoria-Gasteiz, which suffered a serious fire yesterday, has stated that their intention is to maintain «as much as possible» the service to customers starting next Monday.
In statements to Radio Euskadi, Lascaray said they are «absolutely devastated by the scale» of the fire, but assured that the company, which employs a hundred workers, «will rebuild.»
«Our intention is to maintain as much as possible the service to our customers starting this Monday, so they will not be affected,» he said, adding that «now it is time to roll up our sleeves, work, and start rebuilding this factory that has been in Vitoria for 200 years.» «Our goal is to have at least another 200 years,» he added.
On the other hand, he thanked the «extraordinary work» of the security forces and emergency services, especially the firefighters, «true heroes, who entered and tried to save as much as possible.» «We know the effort they have made and we are incredibly impressed,» he said.
